In 2009, La Casa de Don Pedro Community Center hired Nimbus to create an after-school dance program for underprivileged youth at La Casa’s downtown Newark location. Working in partnership with La Casa, Nimbus created “Dancin’ at La Casa,” a program that teaches students the basics of movement as well as more demanding choreography. The program culminates with a December performance where participants show their talents to peers, friends, and family.
